Sankalp

Sankalp is the theatre club at MICA. Apart from innumerable in-house plays, there’s one grand play every year performed for the paying public.

Over the past years, it has been running to packed houses. The event is managed extremely professionally by the students of MICA from directing, acting, make up, sounds and lights, costumes and sets, to other functions not related to production like getting sponsorship and marketing the play.

Sankalp provides an opportunity to the students to showcase their skills but more importantly, in its own small way, Sankalp is an attempt at acknowledging the importance of theatre as an effective medium of communication and entertainment. In addition, it provides an opportunity for the students to interact and entertain the people of the city in which MICA is located.
