MICANVAS is MICA’s annual brand management festival.
It is a platform to bring together eminent professionals
from the industry and the best brains from the top
B-schools in India to challenge conventional stereotypes
about consumer’s mind space and redefine newer
ones in the dynamic marketing millennium.
The first MICANVAS was held in 2002 with the intention
of making it a platform to showcase MICA and its talent
to industry and the B-School community at large. From
its humble inception, MICANVAS has come a long way
and continues to grow steadily over the years, scaling
new peaks.
Over the years, MICANVAS has seen participation from
the best B-Schools in India like the IIMs, ISB, XLRI,
MDI and FMS amongst others and also invites participation
from corporates and the best of undergrduate colleges.
Prominent industry professionals such as Santosh Desai
of Future Brands, Harsha Bhogle of ESPN-Star, Prahalad
Kakkar of Genesis, Vinita Bali of Britannia Foods
and Bhaskar Bhat of Titan have graced the event in
the past.
MICANVAS 2007
MICANVAS 2007 promises to be bigger and better as
a 4 day event from the 25th to the 28th of October.
This year, MICANVAS brings to its audience “The
Third Awakening - Brand India Resonates”. It
aims to explore how young minds can leverage this
brand and build on it to help the nation become an
intellectual powerhouse.
INTERNATIONAL CONCLAVE
MICANVAS 2007 will be a landmark edition as it is
the first MICANVAS to host an International Conclave.
Students from the UK, USA, France, Singapore and Australia
will be attending the event, providing them a unique
platform to interact with their Indian counterparts.
This is a pioneering effort by MICANVAS to encourage
participation from outside the country. The International
Day will be held on the 25th of October 2007.
With its emphasis on creativity, out-of-the-box thinking
and management acumen, participants at MICANVAS are
exposed to a wide variety of talent, challenges and
learning. For four days, the campus will resonate
with the culture of brands, salsa, the spirit of competition,
and also, with the vibrancy and spirit of India!
