The landscape of business and industry is undergoing fundamental changes. Communications management is now emerging as the new paradigm of business management in knowledge driven global economy on account of formation of new zones of economic activities, shortened product life cycle leading to a rise in customer centric strategies.

The industry now needs corporate entrepreneurship driven innovators and leaders who can reach out to consumers of any demographic through communications and management strategies and processes. This new breed of managers are expected to be innovative in all aspects of business management and in introducing new products, services, brands, and new management systems that constantly improve the business effectiveness and efficiency.

Indian Nationals as well as Foreign/NRI candidates from the following categories would immensely benefit from this programme:

1. Candidates with a passion for communications and entrepreneurship, aspiring to seek careers and initiate ventures in the areas of Advertising, Direct Marketing, PR, Event Management, Digital Communications, Marketing Research and Social Communications

2. Students with work experience, interested in Business and Communication studies as well as Corporate Entrepreneurship for seeking a corporate career

3. Prospective Owners/Managers of family businesses to be groomed for top management and leadership positions and those wishing to professionalize their business and diversify into new areas

4. Working professionals wanting to set up a new venture or upgrade their qualifications for career growth and development.

Admission Norms:

• Minimum Qualifying Education: Graduation with atleast 50% aggregate.

• Domestic candidates should have appeared CAT/GMAT/MAT examination and Foreign/NRI candidates should have appeared in GMAT examination. (Scores of last three years are valid)

• Domestic candidates will be short-listed on the basis of CAT/GMAT/MAT scores and Foreign/NRI candidates would be short-listed on the basis of GMAT Scores.

• The aspirants who have not appeared in any of the above Admission tests can opt for a MICAT which would be specially conducted at Ahmedabad at an additional fee of Rs. 1000.

Admission Procedure

• Application along with the relevant score and processing fees would be submitted to MICA EDC.

• The candidates short-listed on the basis of the above criteria would appear for a MICAT-E & Personal Interview.

• Selected candidates would be communicated by MICA-EDC and would be directed further to complete administrative formalities.

Exemptions

• Sponsored candidates from corporate and family businesses would only need to appear for a
MICAT-E and Personal Interview.

• MICAT Attempters (Shortlisted by MICA-EDC) of last three years need to appear only for MICAT-E and Personal Interview.

Confirmation of selection - 29 July 2008

Programme commencement - 15 August 2008

MICAT, MICAT E & PI may also be conducted at Mumbai and Bangalore, the
dates for which may be announced later


PROGRAMME FEES

• Rs. 3.25 lacs for Indian Residents

• Rs. 4.50 lacs for corporate sponsored candidates.

• Rs. 4.50 lacs for family business sponsored candidates.

• US$ 15,000 for International Applicants.

(This fees is exclusive of the fees for International Immersion/National Immersion & Accommodation)

The Application form should be submitted alongwith a demand draft (DD) of Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 2000/-in case of candidates applying through MICAT, in favour of Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad. Foreign/NRI candidate need to submit only application form and the application processing charges of US$ 50 would be collected alongwith the commitment fees upon selection.
