Management Development Centre
The Management Development Centre (MDC) is an expression
of the continued commitment that MICA has to assist
companies in the communications industry to emerge
as winners in a complex, competitive and technology-driven
environment.
MICA faculty adds value to the corporate sector by

• Seminars and conferences on emerging issues
and opportunities in industry
The MDC also undertakes collaborative research studies
with industry that include preparation of cases on
consumer insights and documentation of innovative
management practices in integrated marketing communications,
HR and finance. To achieve its objectives the MDC
relies on multiple platforms for the delivery of content
and learning.
Recently, a market research boot programme was conducted
for Ugam Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The MDC also has collaboration
with Hughes Escort Ltd to deliver real time online
education.
Some of the other successful programmes of
the MDC have been:
• A seminar on ‘Effective Advertising’
jointly conducted by Indian Society of Advertisers,
MICA and Titan.
• A one-year executive Diploma Programme on
Broadcasting Management for Zee TV.
• Training programme for public healthcare workers
in behavioural change communications for the State
Governments of Gujarat and Chattisgarh.
• A seminar on integrated marketing jointly
conducted with the All India Management Association
(AIMA).
• An in-company training programme on brand
communication management for Philips India Ltd.
• A programme on strategic media management
and planning for several print media organizations.
