About the Centre for Development Communications
MICA has been actively involved in
social communication since its inception. In 2002,
it took a natural step forward to serve the field
of developmental communications. The Centre for Social
and Developmental Communications was thus established
under the guidance of Prof. Atul Tandan, Senior Professor,
MICA and Prof. Arbind Sinha, an experienced veteran
in the field of development communications. The Centre
undertakes research projects and training programmes
for the Government of India, various Indian State
governments and International agencies in the areas
of development communication, health communication,
watershed management, climate change and disaster
communication, and water and sanitation communication.
