EDPDA
(Executive Development Programme in Data Analytics)
EDP DA is of six month duration, and MM is of one year duration. There is an admissions process and a set date on which the programme is launched. We began marketing the programmes in January 2006 and after final selections, the programmes began in May 2006. The EDP MM will continue till March 2007 while the valedictory of the EDP DA is in November 2007. There are 17 participants for the DA programme and 25 for the MM programme. On the 8th of August we are also starting a programme in Advertising Management (CPAM – Certificate Programme in Advertising Management).
In the pipeline are programmes on Retail Management and on Brand Communcations as an extension of Advertising Management. We are also working on another studio on campus in collaboration with Reliance for purely PGPCM activities like video conferencing with recruiters, online interviews, etc. Reliance provides a classroom environment on the franchisees end which allows for group exercises, etc.
As far as corporates are concerned, there is a growing acceptance of this form of delivery as it not only takes care of travel cost but also saves time. As far as individuals are concerned, the asynchronous mode of education is very popular in the developed countries and has been in India as well for long, if you do not take into consideration the technological factor.
