First Stage: The
Common Admission Test (CAT)/GMAT: All applicants have
to appear for the CAT/GMAT. The CAT is designed to
assess a candidate’s ability in verbal and quantitative
reasoning, data interpretation, mathematical comprehension,
knowledge and understanding of English.
Second Stage: The MICA Test (MICAT):
The shortlisted candidates will take the MICAT, which
is conducted in February/March. MICAT is designed
to assess a candidate’s skills in convergent
and divergent thinking, written communication, creativity,
psycho-social competency and familiarity with the
Indian ethos.
Third Stage: Group Exercise and Personal
Interview: All candidates called for the MICAT will
also participate in a group exercise and personal
interview. The MICAT and the group exercise and personal
interviews will be conducted at centres in Ahmedabad,
Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
The final selection will be based on performance in
the MICAT, Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview
(PI).
Number of seats allotted to different Test Qualified
candidates CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET, ATMA, CET, JEE (State
conducted tests / University tests).
No more than 10 students are selected through GMAT
depending on the number of applicants. The rest are
selected through CAT only.
Calendar:
• Last date for request for applications: 15th
December
• Last date for submission of application: 20th
December
• Dates for Group Discussion (GD) / Interviews:
1st week of March
• Dates for announcing final results: 15th
April
• Release of admission list (main list and waiting
list ): 15th April
• Date for acceptance by the candidate (time
given should in no case be less then 15 days)
MICA gives at least 20 days time to accept the offer
and pay the first term fee
• Last date for closing of admission:
10th May
• Starting of the Academic session: 20th
June
• The waiting list should be activated only
on the expiry of date of main list: YES
• The policy of refund of the fee, in case of
withdrawal, should be clearly notified.
Full amount is refunded if a candidate withdraws before
the commencement of the Programme. Rs.1000/-
deducted towards processing charges.
