Organisational chart and processes

Attached as Annexure-1

Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/ improvements.

The Student Activities are represented through the MICA Council for Student Affaris (MCSA) an elected body of students.

Other Student Activities such as Placement, Alumni Activity, MICANVAS (Inter Management institute’s fest) Sankalp (Theatre & Arts), MICAMINDS (Student Industry Project Consultancy), MICA Lecture Series (Lecture from industry senior professionals), Black Coffee (Students’ in-house magazine). The students are guided by a Faculty in charge of the activity.

Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance

The Faculty and other department heads are organized through three Councils which ensures good governance.

1) The Faculty Council is represented by the Director and Sr. Professors and Registrar which reviews the operating policies and guidelines for the institute.
2) The Academic Committee represented by the Academic Area Heads and Coordinators which provides guidance for the academic rigour and programme curriculum. They are supported by Faculty Curriculum Committee and Faculty Thesis Committee.
3) The Administrative Council is represented by Department Heads of Administrative and support systems. The Council considers all matters related to Administrative conduct of the institute, programme, finance, library, IT infrastructure etc.

The Director of the Institute is the Chairperson of all the above three Councils.

These Councils and the Director are guided by the Academic Advisory Body and the Governing Council.

The institute has an organizational structure for the teaching and non-teaching staff. The various disciplines are under the direct supervision of the area heads/co-ordinators such as Marketing and Brand, Marketing Research, Media Management, Advertising, Organizational Behaviour, Finance and General Management, Entrepreneurship Development management etc.

Each student activity has a faculty coordinator for guidance and supervision.

The students have a body called MICA Council for Students Affairs (MCSA) who manages the activities of students with the guidance and support of the Registrar and support staff supervised by the faculty in charge.

Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/Faculty performance

Students feedback are collected for courses taught by permanent faculty, visiting faculty or guest faculty and improvements if required are made. This will also help improving the course if required and evaluate the performance of the faculty.

Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students

The Institute has a Faculty Council, an Academic Council and an Administration Council to look into redressal of grievances of faculty and staff or students and to support the Director to take decision.
